Chuck G. Hartlen, P.Eng.

Chuck Hartlen is Vice President, Consumer Marketing, Sales and Service for Aliant Telecom, the parent company of MTT, NBTel, IslandTel and NewTel. He is responsible for the development of marketing and product strategies for Atlantic Canadian-based residential customers. In addition, he is responsible for the management of customer contact centres, and various support functions including employee training, and credit and collections. An employee of MTT since 1986, during his career Mr. Hartlen has held key positions in both engineering and customer services, most recently Vice President, Network Services, Aliant Telecom as well as Chief Engineer for MTT Mobility.

Mr. Hartlen has a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Electrical) from the Technical University of Nova Scotia, a Bachelor of Science degree (Math) from Dalhousie University and has participated in the Executive Program at Queen’s University. He is a member of APENS and IEEE.

Mr. Hartlen lives in Dartmouth, N.S. with his wife Tamara and their two children.
