FOR BROADCAST USE:
The province confirmed today (October 2nd) a 10-million-dollar commitment to the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre, and welcomed an additional 10-point-three-million-dollar contribution from the federal government.
The Department of Health Promotion and Protection had announced its contribution from the Building Facilities and Infrastructure Together program in May 2008.
M-L-A Gary Ramey, on behalf of Maureen MacDonald, Minister of Health Promotion and Protection, says we are pleased to contribute to this important facility for families along the South Shore.
The new facility will include two rinks with seating for 1,800, a 25-metre pool, a walking track, fitness and meeting space, and a public library.
