The Halifax Campus offers full and part-time certificate, diploma and advanced diploma programs in Applied Arts, Business, Trades and Technologies. In addition, the Campus prepares students for college programs through programs in Adult Learning. The Campus is a home to approximately 700 full-time and 3000 part-time students. Small class size, accessible faculty and practical course content help to ensure student success. Full-time students at the campus have seven day a week access to modern PC and Mac computer labs equipped with the most popular business, internet and media arts software. As part of their program, most students gain valuable work experience on-site with industry partners. The Halifax Campus is located on Bell Road, in the heart of the capital city, at the foot of historic Citadel Hill. Shops, banks, restaurants, hospitals, recreational facilities and the downtown business district are all within a short walking distance of the campus. The Campus is conveniently located on several Metro Transit routes.
Services to Students
Student life at Halifax Campus is supported by a wide variety of facilities and resources. The Campus is wheelchair accessible. A service cafeteria is available and the library is open evenings and weekends. Campus facilities include on-site parking, bookstore and student lounge. The Campus Student Services Office provides academic and personal counseling, career planning and assessment, a student resource centre, job postings and placement assistance, skills workshops and financial information on student loans and scholarships. Support services are also available through student services for students with special needs. The campus has a Registrar's Office to assist students with course selection, transfer credits, course costs and other academic matters. The campus also organizes a variety of recreational and sports activities for students. Campus life is supported through the Student Associations that facilitate and support a variety of student activities throughout the college year.
