"I recognize the value that business brings to a community and how fortunate we are in the Town of Bridgewater and surrounding area to have such diverse and supportive businesses. To grow and enhance our community, we must support our local enterprises - just as they support our community. To enable growth we need to listen to our businesses (as well as the citizens who live here). I am involved with this Task Force to help engage, listen to and support our businesses in an effort to grow our local economy – vital to our community."

"I believe there are great opportunities for this area and I am happy to work with people who believe in the possibilities. The information we collect is a critical building block in developing a good plan for the future. I am pleased that both businesses in the town and the municipality will be included; creating a strong business community is good for everyone regardless of the municipal boundary."

Manager Bridgewater Development Association (BDA)
2016 BRE Project Coordinator

"I was Coordinator of the previous BRE Project and feel that the project provided very useful information to the BDA to draw upon resources in the community to implement many of the suggestions by businesses to create an environment to help retain and expand businesses.

Statistics have shown that most business growth and creation of new jobs come from existing businesses. The BRE project focuses on understanding what needs to be done in order to create an environment for businesses to grow and expand. Through the BDA, I initiated the previous BRE project and also the 2016 project."

"It was important for me to join the Business Retention and Expansion 2016 Task Force because I want to be part of a movement that is striving to develop our area as a place to work, live and grow together. Initiatives like this survey and resulting action plan serve as a way to insure that the Bridgewater area, the business community and community leaders move foreword together towards a prosperous future. I choose to work towards positive actions and changes in our community."

"Creating a wonderful place to live, work and play requires an understanding of what we have, what we need, and how we can leverage our assets. Business retention and expansion will help us learn key information, build networks and provide tools and resources for growth!"

"The health of our businesses is vital to the health of our communities. The Business Retention and Expansion project will help identify challenges and concerns facing business. As a community, we will then have to pull together to find the solutions needed to allow business to continue to thrive in the Bridgewater area. This an important project and I appreciate the opportunity to give back by participating on the Task Force."
